I took a few days off work for a vacation and some family time. It was so nice visiting with everyone – including my Mom, Dad, Grandmom, Granddad, Great Aunt and my Cousin, Michelle.

Plus it was filled with dog fun. Of course – Piper, Vega and Phenom – but also Ace and Michelle’s very cute Papillon, Bentley.

Phenom got to see the ocean for the first time. I think if she could talk she would have said, “Wow!” That was written all over her face. She loved it.

We had so much great food. Homemade crab cakes, fried green tomatoes, soft-shell crab, shrimp creole, peach cobbler, banana pudding, fresh veggies and much more. Yum. It’s nice to be southern – and have some really great cooks in the family.
